Going to Germany

My cousin Joachim is getting married again, in Germany, and I am going! YEA! (in 18 days for 14 days)

Joachim is a blast. He took me riding on his motorbike and flying in the Cessna. What? We did foolish things like that? I had forgotten!

This is a picture of my cousin Joachim and my brother, many moons ago. I have over 30 cousins. It's really quite amazing. (The one in the Lederhosen is my brother. Our mother thought Lederhosen was a very sensible way to dress a boy. He had some that went just below the knee, too.)

  1. My parents have somewhere in their collection a rather embarrasing picture of my brother and I wearing Lederhosen, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats, I believe even cap pistol holsters, while peeing on a termite hill in the Kalahari. Sensible? What is sensible when it comes to little boys? Costumes.
Eat some Jager schnitzel for me while your there. I love Jager Schnitzel. Need to learn how to make it.

  2. Are we correct in assuming that you won't be posting that picture?

For us, however, Lederhosen were not a costume. It was an indigenous clothing item. Good for sliding down snow piles and dirt piles, not to mention other things.

  3. Great photo!

Have a wonderful trip to Germany, Brigitte!

Bror, does Jager Schnitzel come in a slider version?

  4. If I could find it I think I might post it, but it has been a long time I believe it is on a slide.
    Have fun in Germany.

  5. I am sorry to sound so out of it, what are sliders, now that we've heard so much about them?

People are digitizing their slides. Might be a nice thing to do.

  6. Sliders are little hamburgers.

Sort of a little running joke that Bror and I have.

One day we went overboard eating sliders and drinking scothch.
(we didn't go overboard on the scotch)

  7. Ah, so. Finally the mystery is revealed. :)

I should try making Martin a Jaegerschnitzel. He would love it. Generally, I don't fry breaded things.
